The Probate Court handles all matters arising under the Estates and Protected Individuals Code (EPIC) and the Mental Health Code of the State of Michigan. The Court also hears juvenile division matters referred to this Court for trial purposes.
Inventory Fees
The Saginaw County Probate Court's Inventory Fee Calculator rounds inventory fees to the whole dollar, per 2005 PA 326, which took immediate effect on 12/27/2005.
In calculating an inventory any encumbrance must be deducted from the value of any real property that has been included in a descendent's estate. This is per 2012 PA 596, which took immediate effect on 3/28/2013.
